Primrose Sewing is getting ready to host its Summer Day Camps & Workshops! Young students (ages 6-13 years) will gain confidence with a sewing machine through instruction, hands-on learning, and original projects! Primrose Sewing Owner and Teacher, Miss Abby, is an award-winning, teen seamstress who has taught more than 220 students during the past three years in her in-home sewing studio on the west side of Franklin!
Campers will have fun during an action-packed week of hands-on projects and a field trip to the fabric store! Students are welcome to bring their own sewing machine or use one of ours! We are offering four different sewing camp choices for students of all skill levels. Space is limited to six students per camp. Choose a convenient morning (9:00-12:00) or afternoon (1:00-4:00) camp.
The camp fee of $165 includes all supplies, a fabric face mask, instructions, fabrics, a snack, and a camp T-shirt. A student may enroll in any session! Session one is not a pre-requisite for session two, etc.
SESSION ONE: Students will sew a Pocket Pillow, a Stuffed Elephant, and a Pillowcase Dress as well as take a field trip to the fabric store!
SESSION TWO: Students will sew a Tunic Top, Door Hanger Organizer, a Stuffed Whale, and have an adventure to the fabric store!
SESSION THREE: Students will sew two Reusable Drawstring Gift Bags, a Water Bottle Sling, a Summer Striped Pillow, and a Simple Skirt plus a field trip to the fabric store!
SESSION FOUR: Students will sew a Summer Quillow (a fleece and cotton lap quilt that folds into a pocket to form a pillow), a Summer Tote Bag, and an On-The-Go Tic-Tac-Toe Game, and will shop at a fabric store!

A NOTE ABOUT COVID-19: Health, safety, and fun are our priorities! Governor Lee has issued a phased rollout plan, and with the input of some Primrose parents, we feel confident to host camps and workshops with a limit of six students per session. Parents should ONLY send their child(ren) if their temperature does not exceed 98.6. We will require that students and teachers wear fabric face masks (one with be provided on the first day). Snacks and water bottles are pre-packaged, as usual. We will plan to take snack time outside, if possible. Sanitizer and soap will be provided, as usual. We will air out the studio as often as possible. As always, we will clean and disinfect the studio and supplies between camp and workshop sessions.
